Split Pea- Gluten Free-2 Sizes
Available in Large and Small Sizes
Yellow and green split peas, onion, parsley, thyme, basil, chili powder, garlic,mustard, herbs and spices. No MSG.
Directions for Small (4-5 servings):
In a large pot, add contents of package to 6 cups of water.
Bring to boil and reduce heat to medium.
Cover and cook for 2 hours or until peas are tender, stirring occasionally.
(Optional) Add diced ham and potatoes 1/2 half hour before cooking is finished.
Let stand 10-12 minutes before serving.
Directions for Large (8-10 servings):
As above but use 12 cups of water.
Low in sodium and high in fibre. Perfect with leftover ham or bacon. For some extra texture, flavour and variety, chop some carrots, celery and potatos and add 30 minutes before it is finished.
Another great soup for the Crock Pot. Cook for 6-8 hours on high (Check at 6).
